School Girls and Teenage Boy Testosterone (2)

He pulled away from our embrace just long enough for me to say, “Hi to you too Mr Parker” I smiled and bit my lip. Okay this wasn't really Mr Parker this was his son who lived here half the year and at his moms in New Hampshire the other. Luke Parker is the only person who kind of stuck around long enough to become my friend.“

Your going to help me today with the slopes and the lift we don’t want the city folk to get hurt” Luke’s voice sounded humorous as his arms stayed glued to my waits and my arms around his neck.

We walked to the main lobby where we see the schools were filling in. It turned out that they were two private schools one an all boys, the other a mixed. Perfect, this is just what I need a bunch of stuck up rich kids. Not to mention that all the school girls would swoon over Pete. I know that I nothing special, just average. Just a typical seventeen year old, brunette with brown eyes pale skin. Luke and I made our way over to the front of the room and immediately I saw every girl in the room turn and look at him, I could almost heard their jaws hit the floor. I’m pretty sure none of them noticed he was with anyone.

“Good morning all you city dwellers,” Luke said in a joking expression while winking at me. His eyes were like gems. He is one of those guys that should be modeling for some high-end clothing brand like Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister. I managed to sneak to the back of the room as he started to talk about the safety.

My eyes were kept on him I have never really realized it but he had a lisp its very cute and endearing though. Today he was sporting the casual mountain boy look, a black Billabong tee fitting snugly to his very nice frame, jeans with a brown belt and a sweater which he took off after introduction lastly a cowboy hat. There has always been a part of me that loves Luke unconditionally he just always will make me the happiest person on the planet. Luke was an amazing guy and he was as permanent as there would ever be. But me and him had grown up together and we have always just been super friendly. There isn’t really romantic going on between us either, or at least I didn’t think so.

I managed to suit up before everyone else did so I went outside to man my station like Luke wanted me to. I sported the very likeably two piece snowsuit from Burton damn I didn’t look to bad. I pressed the button to get the cycle to start of the chair lift. One thing I knew was that I wouldn’t try snowboarding today, not a chance! The teens started filling out of the lodge I hadn’t really noticed but there was a lot my age some could be a year older as well. I wouldn’t be surprised at the experience most of them have, they do have the money to back themselves up.

The first group of girls came up they sounded to be like cheerleaders, I rolled my eyes without thinking. The first a perky blonde and whose vocabulary sounded too typical with all the “oh my god” and “like are you for real?” phrases. Next there was a girl who I would call the follower she was just right on the blonds tail. She had auburn hair but I could tell that there was a brain in her head. There were three others but they just seemed to have no absolute personality. They approached me and just stood their, it was exactly what I thought they didn’t know who I was. I know I was next to Pete but still that doesn’t make you blind.

Pretening I have an accent to see if they would believe me “Can I help yall,” I mocked a southern gal but they blankly stare so I add “ I’m Hannah”.

The auburn one spoke first surprisingly “We just wanted to get to the top of the mountain, is there’s going to be a problem?”

“Oh no problem. I was just joking with you its called humour.” I said winking and then I blow onto my hot chocolate. This is just what I had expecting preteens who didn’t know a joke when it smacked them right in the face. As you can tell I have trouble making friends it didn’t help that I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Today just probably wasn’t a day I should be dealing with stuck-up, self-centered rich girls. But I just laugh it off to win them over, thankfully.

“Hannah you’d better let them ladies oh the lift” Luke said. Awe crap why did he have to do that, now these girls are going to be stuck at my hip. I can just picture the day these girls saying “like O-M-G he is so hot, come on Hannah introduce us… you will. Like are you for real? Eeeeek ” Grimacing I thought of a new idea I would ditch these chicks as soon as possible I didn’t respond to Luke and just get the girls on the lift.

The blonde starts to say, “By the way I’m Sarah wanna like introduce us-”

Ignoring them completely and in a hurried voice I sputter, “Kay so when you get to the top just read the signs for directions yeah okay, buh-bye”. I am not about to make friends with a bunch of little air headed bimbos.

Suddenly I feel someone’s arms wrap around my waist and the scent of aftershave wash over me, its Luke. He picked me up and spun me the mountain air picking up my hair as we spin. He puts me down then steps in front of me, “Hey there big boy did you catch me meeting some new friends?” I chirp while rolling my eyes.

“Hardly looked like that Hannah. Those girls looked like they were about to eat you alive.” Luke said concerned while looking towards the ski lift.

Returning his eyesight back to me I conclude, “Actually for your information they weren’t, they introduced themselves and they thought I was funny. Plus they were younger than I am I wouldn’t let a little one scare me.”

“The only thing that scares Miss Avery here is that wee little hill” he mocked gesturing towards the mountain a head of me as he walked away. How dare he! He knows that I was hurt very much both physically but mentally. He knew it was my dream to become an Olympic athlete, which was ruined now.

“You didn’t just say that Luke" my eyes narrowed as I started to roll the snow to gain some ammunition. “You will wish you never met me Mister after I am through with you”. I fired a snowball that hit him square in the back. He stopped then turn, ran back to me and grabbed the arm I had raised to give him a playful punch.

“No you will loath the day that you had ever hit me with that snow ball Hannah” he released my hand and called over his shoulder, “meet me back here in an hour and a half were going to get you to go down this mountain today.” My smile vanished from my face and was replaced by a frown. There was no way I was ready to get back up there, okay well maybe. I started to feel my stomach turn, am I ready?

I return to my work spot when I get another group attempting the so called “hill” line up. This time it was a group of guys of whom had a girlfriend so this group. They must be from the mixed private school. The couple looked to me like that couple you hate being around. They hold hands and make out at the most random times, they say I love you till you feel like you could just scream never mind the fact that they are perfect for each other. It seemed to me like the guy on the left to be the boyfriends other half, best friend. I couldn’t really tell cause he was all bundled up but he appeared to be really good looking. I’ll have to see when he takes of his coat.

“Heya, was that your boy-friend “ the girl teased me. I stood in shock, did it look like that? I mean we were just acting like our normal Luke and Hannah selves.

“Uh.. No? Well he is my friend …. that is a guy” I sounded absolutely as awkward as could be stating the obvious.

The girlfriend replies slightly shocked followed by a sigh, “Well he is a stunner”. She didn’t even seem mean or anything saying that in front of her boyfriend.

“Yeah maybe. But, you guys want to ride to the top?” I mutter while thinking that this group looks my age. I met the eyes of the best friend he has blue sapphire eyes the kind that any girl would turn to a love sick puppy over. But, not me.

The guy I thought may or may not be good-looking said, “Yeah we do, is it all that hard? The run I mean, do we need to be skilled?’

“I wouldn’t know, its been along time since I have gone up there.” I blushed which is something I don’t even do around a god like Luke. About me not being love sick over his eyes, I lied.

“Oh well I’ll see you later,” the mystery boy answered not flattered or unknowing of my blushing state.

This bothered me I will have to win him over. I will also have to find a way to not go up the mountain with Luke.
